  1. Toni says:

    No scott = No STP.

  2. BillyL says:

So they are officially called STP with Chester Bennington then and not just STP?

  3. Casper says:

That doesn’t sound or look like an STP record. More LP if anything.

  4. TonyClifton says:

Good looking cover, looking forward to hearing it.

  5. Ryan says:

Well there was basically no STP WITH Scott. People have to understand the full situation. The rest of the band couldn’t go on with someone as volatile as Scott. He had plenty of chances with sobriety and more help than anyone could imagine, but you can’t help someone when they aren’t willing to help themselves. Chester is the new frontman of STONE TEMPLE PILOTS. Get over it.

    • Shane99 says:

      Agree 100%

I’m ready for this. October can’t come soon enough.

    • JC and the 7 dwarves says:

You need to get any illegal recording equipment there may be here out immediately. Why bother stalking people if you’ve moved on? No one here wants to be stalked or harassed. We are both serious about getting the law involved if it doesn’t cease immediately. (Applicable to any and all involved.)

    • Anon says:

      @Ryan
You’re correct that people need to understand the *full* situation as follows: Scott has no desire to continue with STP – he moved on quite a while ago. He hangs around only to protect himself. Seems some people cannot take “no” for an answer and insist on invading his privacy and then bandying compromising info and possibly video around the Internet. Scott has no interest in that type of unethical (to say the least) behavior. In addition, he also has a promising new career to protect. Naturally, Scott is extremely unhappy with the situation and will continue to insist that this behavior come to a halt. When Scott has proof that this type of behavior has completely stopped, he will have no reason to say anything further…

  6. Mark says:

They should really take out the “with Chester Bennington” thing if they want to be taken seriously… it really looks stupid.

  7. cagedtiger says:

I’m sure the “with chester benington” at the bottom is purely for legal reasons

    • Shane99 says:

      Yeah , for sure.

They will most likely be just “Stone Temple Pilots” on their next release.

I remember when Bush first came out, on the first copies of the album, they were called Bushx, because of copyright.

  8. Big M says:

“They’ll be divorced in a year”

  9. La Flatulista says:

La mierda de pájaro en mi parabrisas se ve mejor que esto.
Estoy seguro que la música sonará tan malo como la obra de arte se ve.

  10. Boris Dignan says:

I don’t know what’s worse…the cover art or the music.
Continuing to call this band STP is just gross. I understand that Scott is a wreck, but move on…call the band something else. The De Leo brothers and Kratz are just money hungry swine. They are more concerned with keeping their bank rolls fat than actually having the music come from a pure place.

Oh well…it’s not like the band ever had any credibility anyways. They shamelessly rode on the coattails of grunge and cashed in on the sound that Pearl Jam, Nirvana, and Soundgarden threw away.

These guys are just bottom feeders.

    • Apache Rose Peacock says:

Why would someone who considers this band bottom feeders care about the line up change? Or changing the name? When I see articles about kelly clarkson I dont read them or comment. BecauseI dont care.
But you have shown you do care. Or you are just a troll hater?
If they copied any sound, try Danzig pertaining to sex type thing. If you are gonna be a troll hater, get better at it.

  11. David says:

Boris Dignan, I couldn’t of said it better myself, STP always sucked in my opinion. They just copied the grunge sound and originality, and made millions being frauds.

    • whisky says:

You people are still on about that, eh? Despite the ample evidence to the contrary, no less. Willful ignorance is worse than stupidity. Stop with the copycat accusations and learn up.

    • ShaneC says:

You obviously don’t know that facts, little guy.

  12. Craigory52 says:

Stone Temple Pilots must have added with Chester Bennington to either avoid more arguments and legal matters with Scott or to sell more records or both.

  13. Jeff says:

The great part, is that everyone gets a vote… You don’t like it, don’t buy it… You like it then go crazy…

  14. Roamin Roamin Roam says:

It’s been over 3 months people… do you still need to reply to every STP article with “No Scott No STP” or whatever other useless rant?

    I personally can’t wait for October 8th!

  15. Jimmy eats Moon says:

The Deleos are the lowest of the low. Atleast you know what you get with Scott. Love it or hate it. The Deleos have zero integrity. Sneaking around like snakes in the grass with a blind side.

Scott is STP. Always will be.

Not surprised they half assed another album rushing through a few songs before LP toured. Can’t even do a five song EP right. Never seen such ineptness with a franchise. You think Reznor, Corgan, Vedder rush out songs?

    Will not buy it.

  16. JG566 says:

They should have just called the band “High Rise.” That would have actually been cool. Just not STP …C’mon now….

  17. Roamin Roamin Roam says:

If anyone wondered how awesome Dean is… Rockin ISL with Frampton is a new high.

  18. kevin kolasinski says:

stp made 2 good records core and purple that’s it everything garbage after that,…and guys its eric KRETZ!!! not kratz get it right jesus christ

  19. svott says:

I guess ac/dc shouldn’t have called themselves ac/dc anymore after bon scott died. Some real tools around here.

    • JG566 says:

First off Bon Scott is dead. Secondly Bon Scott’s family encouraged AC/DC to keep going and get a new singer as the band agreed in tribute to him. Scott Weiland is alive and still playing shows while his band takes the name. Pretty different story.

  20. Raj says:

The original STP was an amazing band, they aren’t frauds nor did they ever rip off Pearl Jam or any of the grunge bands. Yes, they were influenced by them but have a ton of other different influences. Scott Weiland has never sounded like Eddie Vedder not even in Plush. Those two have very different vocal stylings. STP has crafted their own music, image and sound and are an original band. They didn’t ride the coattails of the early 90′s artists like other bands.

    • Big Muff says:

“Those two have very different vocal stylings”
      -LIES
      :)

    • White Russians says:

“Scott Weiland has never sounded like Eddie Vedder not even in Plush”
Are you kidding me? Aside from Scott Stapp, Weiland is one of the worst offenders.
He shamelessly ripped off of Eddie Vedder during the first 2 records.
Clean you ears Raj…and then face the facts. STP has never been a very original band.
