    •  Please sign and share this petition. We need a childhood cancer specialist on the National Cancer Advisory Board. There is not a childhood cancer specialist on the board and our children deserve a voice. Thank you! :) https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/petition/appoint-pediatric-oncologist-national-cancer-advisory-board/gLhGbXQ9

    • Thank you for your response. Three follow up questions: #1 - Does the simple fact that they are children factor into the process? Is compassion listed in the peer review process? #2 - Have you taken efforts to expand childhood cancer research as requested by Senator Jack Reed (D-RI) in 2011? #3 - Can you provide the makeup of your peer review committee? We believe that the peer review committee should include a pediatric oncologist who can specifically review the proposals, and are unclear how pediatric research proposals can be professionally reviewed without that expertise on the review committee. Can you comment on that, if there is not a pediatric oncologist on the committee?
