2009 Festival Trailer

HIFF’S 29th year theme “What Do You See?” clearly refers to each of our personal reactions to and feelings raised by the films that we see. A friend reminds me that the theme also refers to what one sees at HIFF. Films are definitely the first things to see. Don’t miss the world premiere of the much anticipated made-in-Hawaii feature BARBARIAN PRINCESS on October 16th, Princess Kaiulani’s birthday. “HIFF Celebrates LOST” is a unique event, preceded by three special Master Classes. The creative team, co-executive producers, cast, and crew of Hawaii’s beloved LOST will be on stage to discuss their award-winning series and to answer your questions.

“What Do You See” is also frequently asked by one HIFF fan to another. What films and other events do you go to see at HIFF? Our surveys find that the number one way people hear and know about HIFF is through friends and colleagues. Tell your friends and neighbors what you see at HIFF and help spread the word.
