Top-seeded Louisville is playing for the national championship, giving Rick Pitino a chance to be the first coach to win titles at two different schools. His son, Richard, is the new Minnesota coach. One of his horses has a spot in the Kentucky Derby after coming from behind to win the Santa Anita Derby. Oh, and Monday morning, the Hall of Fame will make it official, announcing Pitino as one of its newest inductees.

After a weekend of blowouts and another upset, the Final Four in the NCAA men’s basketball tournament is set. Top overall seed Louisville will face Wichita State at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta next Saturday, while Michigan takes on Syracuse in the other national semifinal. The winners advance to the April 8 championship.

Sophomore defenseman Dan Cornell of Abington celebrated with his teammates at TD Garden Monday night as the Northeastern upset Boston University, 3-2, to move into next Monday’s championship game against Boston College. BU had beaten Northeastern 15 straight times in this tournament.
