Believe It or Not – TyGuy

Believe it or not but this month is almost over. God has changed my life and not just mine but every person here. Last weekend Tyler and I hung out while the girls had a girls weekend with Marjorie. Tyler and I went to a youth group in San Ramon on Saturday night and to a church all the way by the capital in San Jose on Sunday. It was great to be apart of a Costa Rican church service. Our new missionary friend named Aby Prado preached on delight and how as Christians our delight and pleasure should be found in God alone. But how when we are tired and stressed we are so quick to run to movies, tv and everything of the world instead of to God.

What is the greatest story ever told, that’s hardly ever told? THE GOSPEL!. How one of my favorite rapper/poets, Propaganda. would say the Gospel means, “God. Our. Sin. Paying. Everyone. Life.” Check it out on youtube! This week we are studying Matthew. When I was reading Matthew  and these five verses in chapter six really hit me and made me think. Here Jesus is talking about our worries and the things we seek after in life.

  • Matthew 6:30-34  “Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is , and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O YE OF LITTLE FAITH? Therefore take no thought , saying , What shall we eat ? or, What shall we drink ? or,Wherewithal shall we be clothed ? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

Why do we try to take control? Instead God asks us just to seek Him and He will take care of the rest.

This weekend we are going to the beach and the three girls are getting baptized! God is doing great things in our lives and I’m so happy that God put the three girls and Tyler in my life.

Hakuna Matata – Tyler

This week we finished up the book of Genesis. There is so much stuff in the bible that I didn’t know was in the bible. We had a lot of fun this week as we continued to find out what truth is based on scripture. We are seeking God as we learn what God’s plan is for us. I can’t wait to study the rest of the Old Testament and get in the New Testament.

This past weekend I had the opportunity to stay at a Costa Rican family’s home. I stayed with a guy named Max, his wife Marcela and their two kids Naomi and Samuel. I had a lot of fun playing games and going to the park to play basketball with them. We watch the soccer game between Costa Rica and Honduras so I was excited to get to watch some sports. They did not speak any English so I had to learn some Spanish. I think they learned more English than I learned Spanish! lol I had so much fun and I would love to do it again. I learned that cold showers……are cold!

This week is mission week I’m so excited to see what God is going to do this week and I will keep you updated on what we are going to do. So wait till next week to see.

His Plan – TyGuy

What up everybody,

I’m having a great time with these new people. this trip is helping me find out who God is and what His plan is for me. I’m having so much fun we went to the farm, where Relentless has all the yuca for the Yuca Harvest Outreach planted. and planted over 60 fruit trees.  We are learning how to pray and how people prayed in the bible. We are also learning about the history behind God word and how everything is laid out and fits together.

As SpongeBob would put it “I’m ready!” – Tyler Gay

What up my people? My name is William Tyler Gay growing up I went by Tyler but now I go by TyGuy. I’m 20 years old and I love to help my church. I feel that God has called me into ministry some where but I don’t know where yet. I came on a short-term missions trip over the summer where I heard about Relentless Ministries and as SpongeBob would put it “I’m ready!”
