An Epistemological Reading of the Debate between Quine and Chomsky.

The spirited debate between Quine and Chomsky has been going on for almost 40 years now, with many authors taking sides with one or the other. One of the important issues of the debate, and the one I would like to explore focuses on the source and nature of human knowledge and, more precisely, linguistic knowledge. And I would like to show that in spite of appearance, their positions are not mutually incompatible.
