Recap: Hot But Not Historic

By Jason Samenow

No doubt it was hot today, but temperatures fell shy of records for the date. The highs at the local observing stations were as follows:

Reagan National Airport: 96 (record 102 from 1874)
Dulles International Airport: 94 (record 96 from 1999)
Baltimore/Washington International Airport: 94 (record 98 from 1933)

One more day of heat tomorrow and the chance for storms, then we start to cool down.
