Charlotte Davies

Charlie is the lead analyst for Ovum’s Healthcare Life Sciences team and is based in France. Charlie focuses on the use of ICT within the healthcare, pharmaceutical and biotech sectors, with an emphasis on understanding end-user adoption and requirements, industry best-practice and the impact of innovation in key growth areas such as M-health. Charlie was a lead author of the report Video-conferencing and Healthcare: A New Chapter in Collaboration.

Prior to joining the E-health team in 2012, Charlie was a principal analyst with Ovum’s Telco Strategy practice. She focused on telco best practice and the development of next-generation broadband access. She was the lead author of a number of reports including the Future of Broadband: Fixed Mobile Convergence and Integrated Next-Generation Broadband Investment Strategies and was one of the lead authors of a study on the socio-economic benefits of fiber commissioned by the FTTH Council.

Charlie was previously Service Manager of Broadband@Ovum and was also responsible for launching Ovum’s Broadband Content service, which spearheaded the company’s research into content development in fixed telecoms. Charlie has over eight years’ experience in the telecommunications industry. She also worked in a Senior Strategy role for Cancer Research UK, focusing on strategic positioning and the use of technology in fundraising and marketing.

Charlie holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in French from London University and is a fluent French speaker.
