WESTON, Fla. -

Florida Gov. Rick Scott now has a challenger in his bid for re-election.

State Sen. Nan Rich announced on Wednesday that she will run for the governor's mansion in 2014.

The Democrat from Weston is the Minority Leader in the Florida Senate.

Rich was elected to the State Senate in 2004. She attended the University of Florida.

Scott, who is a Republican, defeated Alex Sink in the race to replace Gov. Charlie Crist in 2010.

Some political experts theorized on Wednesday that Crist himself may enter the race in 2014.
