Briefly: Ryan Lochte, Sarah Palin, Lady Gaga

Would it shock you to learn that Ryan Lochte got injured in a very bizarre way? Apparently he collided with an excited fan and the encounter resulted in “a torn MCL and an ACL sprain,” his rep said, and he’s on a temporary training hiatus. Seriously? Well, if you look at the list of Lochte’s other reasons for (falling out of a tree, break dancing, reaching for a phone), it’s not that weird. (USA Today)

Sarah Palin’s starting up a tour for her latest book, which apparently got a title change. Palin will be promoting “Good Tidings and Great Joy: Protecting the Heart of Christmas” starting next week in seven cities, AP reports. Earlier this year, the book was reportedly called “A Happy Holiday IS a Merry Christmas.” (AP)

In more unsurprising news, Lady Gaga wants to perform a song in space in 2015, as part of a technology festival. According to US Weekly: “”Gaga has taken out a ridiculous life insurance policy!” (US)
