The Generalitat of Catalonia (Catalonia's Autonomous Government) has opened the call for nominations for the XXVI Premi Internacional Catalunya 2014. Proposals may be submitted to the Prize Secretariat until 31st December 2013. Its content may be sent beforehand by e-mail to the Prize Secretariat at pic@gencat.cat.

The Premi Internacional Catalunya, endowed with an award of 80,000 euros and the sculpture "The key and the Letter" of Antoni Tàpies, is awarded annually to any person whose creative work has made a significant contribution to the development of cultural, scientific or human values anywhere in the world.

The former Norwegian Prime Minister Gro Brundtland and Pakistani student Malala Yousafzai the XXV edition of the prize.
