WIFF is pleased to announce a series of special talks developed with The Windsor Star to highlight films, filmmakers, and local talent throughout the festival.
The events are moderated by Windsor Star journalists at the Green Bean Café inside the Windsor Star building, and are open and free to the public. Wednesday, November 6th, 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm: The making of This Is What A Feminist Sounds Like with co-director Kim Nelson, activist Pat Noonan, producer Veronika Mogyorody, and director of photography Eric Boucher. Moderated by Beatrice Fantoni. Thursday, November 7th, 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm: The Odette Debate Team debates the issues in 15 Reasons To Live and After Tiller. Moderated by Bev Becker. Friday November 8th, 12 pm to 1 pm: Behind the Scenes at WIFF with Executive Director Peter Coady. Moderated by John Coleman. Saturday, November 9th, 11 am to 12 pm: Cinephilia and the Art of Making Short Films with filmmaker Min Bae. Sunday, November 10th, 11 am to 12 pm: Music on Film inspired by 20 Feet From Stardom and Muscle Shoals with George King. Sixteen shorts were shot over the weekend of October 18th and presented as part of WIFF 2013 at the 48-hour FlickFestival Awards Night on Sunday, November 3rd.
The winner of the Mark Boscariol Best of FlickFest 2013 Award will be presented on WIFF Closing Night, Sunday, November 10th.
