Marine At our Exeter workshops we have carried out many repairs on smaller vessels, we have upgraded main engines on small fishing boats, replaced Gimble bearings on Mercruiser Z drives, carried out detailed fibreglass repairs and even repaired trailer bearings and brake systems. At Exmouth and Torquay we have removed overhauled and re-installed main engines using pier cranes, we have also carried out many performance tests and small repairs on vessels. Other Locations, We travelled to Finland to prepare Nuolli 11 for her journey to Exeter, this involved stripping her hull, filling and repainting, overhauling her main generator for 3 phase power to warm the main engines, these were in tact but required all the support systems to be installed including oil tanks, exhaust and fuel systems. The route home was across Finland to Sweden and down past Sweden / Denmark to enter the Kiel canal, we travelled through the Kiel canal and rested in Germany for a few weeks until the weather had changed in the North Sea, then we headed for an overnight at Harwich and through the English Channel and across to Exmouth, finally entering the Exeter canal. (Some Pictures in Page Header) Hopefully this gives an idea of the competence of our staff, we would be glad to quote for any Marine work, large or small, we have most facilities available, from Stainless steel welding to fibreglass, Petrol outboards to 60 Litre Diesels. We also have stock of some Marine components Spark Plugs, service kits, Stainless fittings etc
