November 2006 ProGenealogists researchers were engaged by Showtime TV to do research for their series called The Tudors. Paul C. Reed, FASG and Kory L. Meyerink, MLS, AG, FUGA were key to helping the series identify living descendants of King Henry VIII.

September 2006 - The true story of Annie Moore was unveiled on Friday, September 15 at the New York Genealogical & Biographical Society in New York City. Almost a dozen of Annie's descendants were in attendance, as well as the Irish consul general and representatives of the Tenement Museum, the National Park Service, the National Archives and the County Cork Association. The $1,000 contest prize was split between Brian Andersson and a great niece of Annie, Patricia Somerstein, of Long Beach, N.Y. ... In February 2001, one of the content research sites that ProGenealogists sponsors, "Barnhouse Branches," was awarded LightSpan, Inc.'s Study Web Academic Excellence Award. StudyWeb, Links for Learning, was created to provide fast and easy access to a wide variety of research-quality information via the Internet in a family environment. The websites in the StudyWeb databases have been hand selected and reviewed by their researching staff, and assessed for value towards a particular researching goal. ProGenealogists is pleased to have content that we've supported and helped to develop be part of this important program.
 

The International Association of Webmasters and Designers offered ProGenealogists's site their 2001-2002 Golden Web Award in January 2001. Websites submitted are judged and scored in three primary categories: Design, Content and Originality.
