Jungle
Six-time World Champion Steve Davis is in the Australian out-back for the ITV show 'I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here.' Follow his progress here or on Twitter @WorldSnooker1 #TheNugget

Would you Adam and Eve it? Steve stripped down to the bare minimum and strutted around wearing just a few leaves covering his modesty, during a 'fashion show' suggested by David. "This is my back-to-basics range," joked the Nugget. If you dare to look at the pictures, take a deep breath and click here

The survival of the fittest (got to be Amy? Oh, not that type of fittest) has started, with one celeb voted out each night. Annabel went first, then Laila. Let's keep Steve in there until the end, make sure you vote every night to prolong his jungle joy.  From a landline call 09020 442410 or from a mobile 644 24 10. William Hill make Steve fifth favourite to be king of the jungle at 25/1, behind Joey, Kian, David and Amy. For all the odds click here

We spoke to Jimmy White about how Steve is doing in the jungle so far. Watch our chat with Jimmy here

November 29

Most of the jungle residents have moaned about eating rice and beans. But Sir David Attenborough (or is it Allan Taylor?) says they should be less choosy and get munching on the real bush tucker. More on that here

November 28

Jimmy White is the latest player to lend his support to The Nugget. Jimmy is well placed to offer wise words as he spent a month in the jungle in 2009, and survived until the final day before losing to out to Gino D'Acampo. "I'm watching it all the time and supporting Steve," said the Whirlwind. "He is a credit to the game and a good guy, once people get to know him. He has every chance of winning. There is a lot of downtime, you are not doing much for ten or 12 hours a day. My job was to get water for the camp and keep people away from Gino when he was cooking. You know what Italians are like, it's best to leave them alone while they are cooking. So we had no trouble. In Steve's camp there are a couple of people who want to cook, including Matthew. So there might be a little bit of trouble stirring, and that what the TV people want. I went in four years ago when the game was in trouble and we only had six tournaments. So I was a bit surprised when I heard Steve was going. He must have got a free flight."

November 27

Steve and his team mates Kian and Laila won the Halfway Holiday challenge, which involved a general knowledge quiz and stuff being poured on their heads. David accused the Nugget of being overly competitive and playing mind games to wind up his opponents. Yeah right! Next he'll be saying Steve is skinny with ginger hair. The Nugget's prize was a trip to a luxury villa, which was almost as big as the servants' quarters of his Brentwood mansion. Over dinner, Laila said that during the 80s, Steve was a "miserable git" and looked like "a bulldog chewing a wasp." After that the conversation went downhill. The following day, there was a genuinely touching moment as the winning trio were allowed to have lunch with their loved ones, who had been flown to Australia for a surprise rendezvous. Steve broke down in tears as he hugged girlfriend Jeannie and she whispered sweet nothings in his ear. Probably something about the '85 final. See pictures here

November 26

Steve, no stranger to the bottom cushion, joined in a discussion about  posteriors by telling Annabel that he won 'Rear of the Year' during the 1980s. Meanwhile, Laila and Lucy both complained about a lack of privacy when they went for a ****.  Who said being in the jungle was a bum deal? Later, The Nugget had to eat possum for dinner, which he described as "horrible." No doubt he'll be dreaming about a trip to Nandos when he's back in Essex. The master tactician seems to be staying in the sidelines while Matthew gets angry with everyone and Alfonso just talks a lot. We think it's time he did another bushtucker trial, so get voting tonight.

Barry Hearn says Steve is risking his place on the main tour and there will be no wild card if he drops off. Read that story here

November 25

Mark Selby has joined Ronnie O'Sullivan in supporting the Nugget's jungle campaign. The UK and Masters champion said: "I will be following it and I hope he does well. I'll be voting to keep him in the jungle as it would be great if he won it. Everyone in snooker knows what his personality is like and how funny he is, so hopefully that will come across. I'm not sure I could do it myself, the idea of eating scorpions doesn't appeal to me much."

November 22

Ronnie O'Sullivan has revealed he is supporting Steve Davis in the jungle, and the World Champion would like to appear on a reality show when his snooker career is over. He told us: "I will be watching and my girlfriend loves it so it will be on TV. I would love to see Steve win it and I hope he gets plenty of air time. I think he'll at least do as well as Jimmy and get to the final week. He has the best sense of humour and he won't have a meltdown on a bad day. When I finish playing snooker I would like to be in some kind of reality show. I hope there's one where you have to run up and down hills and survive in sub-zero temperatures, that would suit me."

November 21

Romford Slim could actually put on weight in the jungle, as his red team keep winning the bushtucker trials and gorging on lamb's kidneys and bread with jam. Steve solved a tricky maths puzzle in a matter of seconds, causing Lucy Pargeter to call him a "clever *******", which he couldn't really argue with. Steve claimed he had done the puzzle before when he was a kid, although that seems unlikely as his childhood preceded the invention of paper.  The Nugget's team mate Joey Essex has also been successful in the trials, although last night he did have to ask what the words 'clash' and 'submerge' meant.

November 18

Steve is already having fun with Joey Essex. "The reflection of your teeth is blinding me," the Nugget told the TOWIE star. And later when they had to pick other celebs to join their team, Steve added: "It's important that we reach checkpoints because Joey has told me that he wants to pick birds that are well fit." The show starts tonight on ITV at 9pm. Looks like Steve has already got stuck into a sky dive and a tank full of scorpions (not at the same time) - click here. Perhaps he is planning a David Dimbleby-style tattoo?

William Hill make the Nugget second favourite at 5/1 to be King of the Jungle, behind Joey Essex. For the odds click here
