Born in the Bronx in 1972, Chris became interested in art and illustration at an early age. At first, comic books were his main interest, but after he saw the artwork of Frank Frazetta, he knew he wanted to be a book-cover artist.
Chris graduated from the School of Visual Arts in 1995 and taught guitar before beginning his career as an illustrator in 2000.
