Hero’s welcome surprises father, son at St. Anne’s School

Students at St. Anne’s Catholic School threw a surprise welcome home party Wednesday for Army Sgt. Robert Schroeder, but the biggest surprise was left for Schroeder’s son, William.

<p>This 57-foot Colorado blue spruce is being donated as Chicago's Christmas tree by the Moore family of South Holland. It will be lighted at the 100th anniversary of Chicago&rsquo;s Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony on Nov. 26. Terri Moore and her daughters, 11-year-old Kirsten and 8-year-old Taylor, will join Mayor Rahm Emanuel, Santa Claus and other special guests for the 6 p.m. tree-lighting ceremony.</p>
