I, too, was excited when I read that there was a Kindle edition of the Guardian and I snapped it up.It was fantastic; a great read, but then I read the reviews on the UK amazon page saying things like "lots of photographs" , "as good as the printed version" while meanwhile I'm staring at just text. As I said, it's a great read, but the experiece would be considerably enhanced if we got the same fully formatted edition here in Spain.
I bought this book after browsing the through sample and decided it was exactly what I was looking for: a German to English dictionary to help me get through run of the mill German texts. I was disappointed to find that it was the reverse of what I had expected: -English to German-. Great for the German speakers but of very limited use to English speakers. I contacted Amazon by email (I live in Spain) and was amazed to find a courteous reply within the hour-refunding my payment and saying they had taken note of the discrepancy between the sample and the actual book.
