Previously scheduled for a Christmas Eve release tomorrow, Halo: Spartan Assault makes the transition from mobile to Xbox One today, Microsoft's Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb announced today.
The game weighs in at a 2.53 GB download and is available for $14.99. People who purchased the game for Windows 8 or Windows Phone before December 15 will be able to get the Xbox One version at a discounted price of $4.99.
"Halo: Spartan Assault is a fast paced top-down shooter set during the timeline between “Halo 3” and “Halo 4,” progress your Spartan career as you engage in over 30 exciting Campaign missions using many of favorite Halo weapons, vehicles and armor abilities," the description states. "Team-up on Xbox Live and fight with a friend against waves of the nightmarish Flood in the all-new online co-op multiplayer mode."
Halo: Spartan Assault is coming to Xbox 360 as well though it won't see release until January 2014.
