The New York Association of Realty Managers (NYARM) has named Argo Real Estate as Management Company of the Year for 2014.

Argo Real Estate, one of New York City’s longest-standing independent real estate companies, has set the standard for hands-on, consumer-focused, ethical service.

“NYARM selected Argo as the recipient of this year’s award in recognition of their focus on and dedication to providing continuing education for property managers and superintendents that work in buildings managed by the firm,” said Margie Russell, Executive Director of NYARM.

MARK MOSKOWITZ

An industry veteran, Argo is known as an owner/operator of residential properties, converter of rental apartments to coops and condos and third party property manager. A family business, Argo Real Estate began operating just over 60 years ago with founder Henry Moskowitz at its helm. Today the company is led by Henry’s son Mark Moskowitz.

“The entire Argo team is committed to integrity, transparency, and providing the highest level of service to our clients,” said Mark Moskowitz, CEO of Argo Real Estate. “To receive this award is to acknowledge the hard work of Argo employees, and we are honored to be recognized.”

The NYARM awards are developed to give recognition to individual and company members that have contributed consistently to the betterment of the real estate management industry and to the organization.

NYARM, dedicated to raising the standards of excellence for the real estate profession through education, information, legislative initiative and a peer network, will present Argo with this award at the upcoming annual gala on January 25, 2014.

Argo Real Estate is one of New York City’s longest-standing independent real estate companies. Its portfolio includes residential and commercial holdings in Manhattan, Queens, the Bronx and New Jersey, with 5,500 units owned and managed by Argo, and 6,500 units managed on behalf of condominiums and cooperatives.

The firm also specializes in converting buildings and has transitioned numerous residential rentals to cooperatives and condominiums, covering all aspects from design, renovation and sales.

In addition to its continuing education programs for managers and superintendents, Argo Real Estate launched an “Argo University for Boards” program in 2013 that brings educational programs to coop and condo board members on issues from understanding emergency generators to how to conduct interviews with potential unit buyers.
