Kwesi Appiah is refusing to rule anybody in or out of his squad

Kwesi Appiah is refusing to rule anybody in or out for his Ghana 2014 World Cup squad with plenty more football still to be played before June’s tournament in Brazil.

The Black Stars coach boss has a core group of players who will almost certainly make the plane to Brazil, prompting talk in certain quarters that the squad is already set.

Some have speculated that players like captain Asamoah Gyan, Michael Essien, Sulley Muntari, Andre Ayew, Kevin-Prince Boateng and John Boye are certain to make the squad to the 2014 World Cup.

But Appiah knows that form and injuries will be a factor in selecting the final 23 which has led him to a tour of England to monitor some players.

The Ghana coach has travelled to England to monitor players and has seen the in-form Albert Adomah in action for Middlesbrough in the English second tier.

Appiah also visited Michael Essien at home to check on his progress as the coach will travel across Europe to see his key players and potential Black Stars talents.

The Ghana FA spokesman says Appiah isn’t going to rule anybody in or out at this early stage, with plenty more football to come between now and next summer.

“The coach has started his work towards naming a formidable team for the World Cup. It is too early to say that the squad for the World Cup in set,” Ghana FA spokesman Ibrahim Sannie said when asked about the squad on Muntea FM.

“May God forbid but in football there could be injuries and loss of form. Excellent players could also emerge so the coach is leaving no stones unturned.

“He wants to ensure that his players are in excellent shape that is why he is in Europe at the moment to see some of them. He is only just starting his work which will be very extensive in the coming days.”

Ghana have been drawn in a tough Group G where they will face USA, Germany and Portugal in next year’s tournament.

This STUPID writer did not state his name because he knows he disrespected Kwadwo Asamoah for ignoring him in his Black Stars sureties. Shame onto him.

There are two things am not happy about the team as it is now.one is goal keeping which the coach has to address very quickly and immediately and the second is the idea of playing dede ayew on the right which the coach has to be bold enough to bench either sulley muntari or dede so that we can make use of either Boateng or Adomahs crosses from the right wings as well.
