Accies Update
Our u20s defeated last season's runners-up, Queen of the South, 5-1 at Palmerston in the SFA Youth Cup on Sunday. Our goals came from Craig Watson, Ryan Finnie, Andy Ryan, Craig Johnston and James Martin, while Ziggy Gordon put through his own goal for their counter. We now meet Aberdeen away in Round 4, in a repeat of last season's round 4 match, but we have still to agree on a date and venue as there is a rugby international at Pittodrie the same weekend. The u20s are next in action in a Clydesdale Bank SPL u20 league match on Wednesday, 7th November, when Aberdeen visit NDP, 1pm kick off.
Goalkeeper Jordan Allan has joined Bo'ness United on a temporary transfer until 1st January, while defender Lee Kilday has on Monday ended his emergency temporary transfer at Stenhousemuir and has now returned to Accies. Jonathan Page's emergency loan with us has been extended to 26th November.
Young defender Scott McMann has returned after 11 days in Georgia with the Scotland u17 squad at UEFA Championships qualifying round, where he was on the bench in all three internationals.
Alex Neil has served one match of his three game SFA ban and will miss the next two first team games v Morton at Cappielow on Saturday (10th November) and our Friday Football Fixture at home to Partick Thistle on 16th November (7.45pm).
