Chicago Gets Top Honors for Food
MALIBU, CA – Boasting more than 7,000 restaurants offering cuisine that ranges from Carribbean to Vietnamese, Chicago has been named as America’s most exceptional dining destination by the editors of Robb Report magazine, the international luxury lifestyle authority.
Detailed in Robb Report’s July issue, which is scheduled to reach newsstands on June 26, the “Best Places to Live” feature article culminates months of research and dozens of interviews conducted by the magazine’s editorial staff.
In selecting Chicago for top honors in the dining category, Robb Report’s editors cited several extraordinary restaurants as examples of the superb options that the city has to offer. “Charlie Trotter’s holds the rare culinary distinction of earning the top-five diamond rating from the American Automobile Association guide and the maximum five-star rating from the Mobil guide,” according to the article. “Only nine other U.S. restaurants can claim that honor.”
Robb Report also lauds TRU, a progressive French-style restaurant that boat the creations of chef and owner Rick Tramonto, winner of the 2002 “Best Midwest Chef” honors from the prestigious James Beard Foundation.
Now in its 27th year, Robb Report is the international authority on the luxury lifestyle. Each month, the magazine reports on issues and trends affecting the affluent market, with coverage of exclusive events and features on exceptional automobiles, motorcycles, aircraft, art, jewelry, watches, fashion, travel, homes, wines, spirits and cigars. Additional information can be accessed through the magazine’s Web site, www.robbreport.com.
