Liverpool v Villa injury news: Latest on Baker/Bennett/Herd
Nathan Baker has been ruled out of Saturday's Barclays Premier League clash against Liverpool. Baker is still recovering from the mild concussion he suffered in the 2-1 defeat to Arsenal on Monday night. The 22-year-old defender came off in the first half after receiving a blow to the head from a powerful shot by Gunners midfielder Serge Gnabry. Manager Paul Lambert revealed Baker is still feeling "groggy" from the incident. Chris Herd is set to miss out again with a hamstring problem. But full-back Joe Bennett is back in contention after returning to training following a back injury. "Nathan is still not feeling good," said Lambert. "He's still feeling a bit groggy with a sore head. He won't be available. "Everybody else is pretty good at the minute. "Joe has trained over the last few days as well which is pleasing."
