Small trees or shrubs with opposite leaves. Flowers bisexual, in axillary and terminal fascicles. Sepals 5, glandular. Petals clawed. Stamens long; filaments connate at the base. Ovary 3-locular; styles 3, free. Fruit a drupe.[1]
