The Martinez Foundation supports teachers of color through scholarships, mentoring, and professional development. We do it because our communities need increased equity in the classroom and more role models for our children. We are Washington state’s only organization whose mission is to improve teacher diversity and support teachers of color in their profession.

Over forty Martinez Fellows turned out for our January seminar on classroom management. The day began with a panel of experienced educators sharing their knowledge on best practices for the classroom. Keisha Scarlett, Noah Zeichner and Chris Robert all participated.
