Police say the driver of a car was heading northbound on I-75 when a semi driver hit the back of them.
All four people in the car were injured and taken to Miami Valley Hospital with injuries that are not considered life-threatening.
The truck driver was cited for not maintaining proper distance.
“The most important thing I would say to people is if they could, please, when you see icy and snow conditions, stay out of those lanes that are the most hazardous, particularly the left lanes,” said Ohio State Highway Patrol Trooper Randy Lewis.
The truck driver also had cruise control on at the time of the accident. Troopers say drivers should never use cruise control during wet or icy conditions. It can cause your car to lose control very quickly.
