Description
Though the clone troopers embodied the war effort of the Galactic Republic against the Separatist Alliance, victory was reliant upon valiant patriots of all shapes and sizes. Meebur Gascon answered the call of duty at the very start of the conflict, and offered his keen analysis as part of Strategic Command since the Battle of Geonosis. The Jedi Council placed Gascon in command of D-Squad's mission to obtain a vital Separatist encryption module. No-nonsense and military-minded with an outsized personality and gruff voice, the diminutive Gascon balked at any suggestion that he was simply a map reader, or that his D-Squad assignment was a result of his tiny size.

R2-D2 was the most seasoned astromech serving under Colonel Gascon's command -- so much so that the droid often thought he was better suited to carry out the mission under his own initiative.
WAC-47
WAC-47 was a modified pit droid that served as a pilot during D-Squad's inaugural mission. The wisecracking droid simply could not keep Colonel Gascon's rank straight, and kept referring to his tiny commander as "corporal."
U9-C4
U9-C4 was an astromech droid specially modified for service in D-Squad. The droid was outfitted with a powerful laser cutter concealed in its trunk.
M5-BZ
For D-Squad's daring mission behind enemy lines, M5-BZ was specially modified to conceal a full command center within its cranial unit, in which Colonel Gascon rode.
QT-KT
QT-KT was an astromech droid modified for service in D-Squad with a special magnetic coil that made her instrumental in bypassing the security systems protecting a vital Separatist encryption module.
Mace Windu
Mace Windu led the briefing for the D-Squad mission, citing the droids as as remarkable and as secret weapons of the Republic.
Geonosis
Meebur Gascon served Republic Strategic Command during the first Battle of Geonosis, analyzing the hostile terrain of the harsh world and recommending an effective plan of attack.
Separatist dreadnought
To complete their inaugural mission, the droids of D-Squad needed to infiltrate a Separatist command ship and navigate its labyrinthine interior until uncovering their prize on "C" deck of the massive dreadnought.
Separatist encryption module
The object of D-Squad's mission was the recovery of a Separatist encryption module responsible for scrambling enemy transmissions beyond the ability of Republic Intelligence analysts to decipher.
