New Zealand Offshore Islands

New Zealand Offshore Islands maps can be downloaded as image files (TIFF and GeoTIFF formats) and data files (Shape and IFF formats).

These maps use the New Zealand Geodetic Datum 2000 (NZGD2000). Each island group has its own specific Transverse Mercator projections.

Kermadec Islands, Antipodes Island Group, Bounty islands and Snares Islands / Tini Heke are available at 1:25,000 scale.

Auckland Islands and Campbell Island / Motu Ihupuku are available at 1:50,000 scale.

Note: It is recommended that data files are used in conjunction with the New Zealand Topographic Data Dictionary. Also ensure you have read the ‘Accuracy’ statement under heading Technical information before using data files.
