Cookies

What are cookies?

Cookies are small files placed on your computer by a website, they help websites to analyse web traffic or recognise your computer when you visit a particular site. Cookies allow websites to remember things like your preferences and what’s in your shopping basket. Cookies can also be used to track the number of visitors to a website, the time they spent on the site and the pages they looked at.

How we use cookies

We use cookies to see how people are using our website, such as which pages are being viewed and how often. The tool we use for this is called Google Analytics.

The information gathered by Google Analytics helps us to improve our site and tailor it to our customers' needs. We only use this information for statistical analysis purposes, we cannot recognise you from the records we hold and cannot access your computer or any information about you. You can find out more about the tool we use for this and how it works on the Google Analytics website.

We also link to several other sites which may or may not use cookies in order to track usage and provide you with a better web experience.

If you are concerned about cookies from this or any other website you may want to adjust the privacy settings in your internet browser. By doing this you can withdraw your consent for websites to upload cookies to your computer.

Accept or decline cookies

If you do not want to receive cookies, you can change your browser settings so that it notifies you when cookies are sent to it or you can decline cookies altogether. You can also delete cookies that have already been set.

If you wish to restrict or block web browser cookies which are set on your device then you can do this through your browser settings; the Help function within your browser should tell you how. Alternatively, you may wish to visit www.aboutcookies.org, which contains more information on how to do this on a variety of desktop browsers.
