Issues of reconstruction of the main waterway E-40 in the section Dnieper-Vistula were discussed by experts from Belarus, Poland and Ukraine in early February 2014 in Pinsk.

For 2013 the Air Traffic Services of Civil Aviation of the Republic of Belarus provided air navigation services to 255 208 aircrafts, which amounted to 106% by 2012. 18 130 "LTO" cycles were provided in the airfields of the Civil Aviation of the Republic of Belarus or 111 % compared to the previous year. The number of transit flights in the airspace of the Republic of Belarus reached 221 311 and increased by 5% compared to the previous year.

The Belarusian- Azerbaijani Joint Commission on implementation of international road transport between the states took place in Minsk On January 21-22, 2014. The parties exchanged information and statistical data on the status of bilateral cooperation between Belarusian and Azerbaijani carriers in the sphere of international road communication, noted the positive dynamics of traffic development and expressed the desire to make the necessary efforts to achieve constructive results in cooperation in the future.

The meeting of the subcommittee on road construction and transportation of the Organizing Committee for preparation and holding the Ice Hockey World Cup in Minsk in 2014 took place on January 9 in the Ministry of Transport chaired by the Minister of Transport and Communications Anatoly Sivak.

The Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Belarus took an active part in the activities in the field of transport and road infrastructure during the year of presidency of our country in the Commonwealth of Independent States in 2013.

Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Belarus and the Government of the Hellenic Republic on international road transportations of passengers and cargo signed on December 3^rd, 2013 in Athens (Greece).
