MOSCOW TheRussian Orthodox Church reacted strongly after Patriarch Kirill was given theSilver Shoe award, handed out each year for themost dubious achievements inshow business.

Atan elaborate award ceremony, thepatriarch was given theprize forthe immaculate disappearance ofa watch inthe category ofmiracles up tothe elbows, RIA-Novosti reported. Theaward category is areference toa Photoshop flub inwhich anexpensive watch was digitally removed fromthe patriarchs arm but its reflection remained, exposing thealteration attempt.
