After the success of Venkatprabhu's Biriyani, actor Karthi has been in the news quite rarely in the past few month. Now we have news about the Siruthai actor's upcoming film that is being directed by Ranjith who debuted with commercial and critically successful Attakathi.

The film has been titled as Kaali and actress Catherine Theresa will be debuting in Tamil as the lead heroine of this film. The film is said to revolve in and aroung Chennai and recently the climax was shot in Perambur, a locality in Chennai. It was predominantly shot during the night time and the entire unit is raving about Karthi's performance in the scene.

Santhosh Narayanan who debuted with Attakathi and gave us super hit numbers like 'Aadi pona aavani' has been retained by Ranjith in this film also. G.Murali is handling the camera.
