Brisbane Roar has confirmed that Steven Lustica has re-joined the Hyundai A-League club, signing a contract which will keep him in Queensland until the end of the 2015/16 campaign.

Lustica will be reunited with his former Brisbane teammates and Head Coach Mike Mulvey, who coached the midfielder at Gold Coast United and brought him to Brisbane twelve months ago.

“There was an unexpected turn of events regarding Steven’s availability and we have the opportunity to add him to our squad now,” Mulvey said.

“Steven is a great professional who will add depth and experience to the playing group.”

The 22-year-old spent the beginning of 2013 on loan to Brisbane Roar from Croatian club Hajduk Split, making 12 appearances and scoring two goals, before returning to Europe and a short stint with Adelaide United.

“I’m really happy to be back in Brisbane,” Lustica said upon his arrival back in Brisbane.

“Since my time here last year, this club has been close to my heart and I’m glad to be playing here again.”

Lustica will commence training with the squad immediately with his first session tomorrow morning.
