On 4 March 2014, the President submitted his FY15 Budget Request to the Congress for the annual legislative review. DoD proposed Base Budget is USD495.6 billion in discretionary budget authority. The Base Budget amount is USD0.4 billion less than the amount enacted for FY14 and USD45.2 billion (-8.4%) less than the amount originally requested for FY15 in the FY14 Budget.
