Stack of colourful booksYou can use the Brisbane City Council's online library catalogue (eLibCat) to search for books, music, ebooks, magazines, movies and more.

Databases, online encyclopaedias, dictionaries and other reference sources are also available through the catalogue.

Use the library catalogue (eLibCat) to:

  • place library items on hold
  • renew your library items
  • connect to the Ask a Librarian service
  • reserve a library PC
  • search Brisbane Images

Outage - 3.30pm Saturday 5 April until 5am Sunday 6 April

Brisbane City Council Library Services' online catalogue will be unavailable from 3.30pm Saturday 5 April until 5am Sunday 6 April due to system maintenance. During the outage, catalogue searches, renewals, placing of holds, access to databases and eBook and eAudiobook downloads will not be available. Customers wishing to borrow items or download eBooks or eAudiobooks are encouraged to make their selections and borrowing arrangements prior to 3.30pm Saturday 5 April. Enquiries regarding the system maintenance can be directed tot he Ask a Librarian service or you can phone Council on 07 3403 8888. We apologise for any inconvenience.
