Lot Splits
The Franklin County Auditor's Office requires the City of Columbus' approval for the splitting of property within its corporate boundaries. One original stamped legal description and survey plat along with 6 copies of each are required along with an application and the fee. The fee is $350 per split.
If 1 lot is being split into 3 new lots, the fee would be $700 as the original lot is being split twice to make the 3 lots. If you want to split the property more than 4 times (creating 5 total lots), then a final plat is required.
