Solid Waste Licensing

Program Information

Tire pileSolid Waste Licensing & Inspection Program licenses and inspects solid waste facilities in the City of Columbus in accordance with chapters 3745-27, 3745-28, 3745-30, 3745-31 and 3745-37 of the Ohio Administrative Code.  The program applies to all solid waste transfer stations, tire shredder, and compost facilities.

Registering Complaints
Columbus residents may register solid waste facility related complaints at (614) 645-8191.

Color-Coded Signage
At all of our licensed facilities, including solid waste facilities, we now post a small color-coded sign that is based on the results of the most recent inspection. For more information, call (614) 645-7005.
