Exclusive EvaGreenWeb.com Q&A with Eva Green – Part II

Posted by M. in May 06,2011 with 14 Comments

Come back tomorrow for Part III ;)

6. In our mind, acting is a job with demanding peaks and longer periods of “inactivity”. How do you like to spend these relaxing (?) periods.
Well, to be honest I’m not very good at “relaxing”, I love what I do so much, and I’ve been very lucky that one project ends and another begins, and as this is a very tricky business, I take the work while I can and am so, so grateful.

7. What’s the most daring thing you’ve done in your job?
Sex scenes are always daring and tricky… and well, not as sexy as they seem on screen, but I’m so lucky to have had such nice partners.

8. What people would be surprised to find out about you?
I guess people would be surprised to find out that I’m a bit of a home body, I mean, I don’t like clubbing or wild parties and after a day of shooting love to come home and relax by the fire with a glass of wine and a good book… boring, huh?

9. Do you ever wish you could go back to another time of your life and do something differently? If you were given one do-over, anything in your life, what would it be?
I don’t think there’s anything in my life that I would change, though I have made some big mistakes, like anyone else.

10. What is your favourite quote and/or life motto?
That hard work always pays off in one way or another.

11. Are there any causes or charities that you support, or you want to? Do you support eco-activities? (…given that you have the perfect surname for this!)
Yes, I’m an ambassador for Mont Blanc who supports UNICEF and I am completely supportive of all their efforts. And I do all that I can to personally support anything that can help improve the environment : recycling, eating organically, and buying traditionally farmed products that don’t use hormones or pesticides or anything that’s industrially farmed.

    Eva,

    Why don’t you try comedy?

You are an accomplished dramatic actor at a very young age, and after watching your work it seems to me that you would be a natural for comedy. You have the face for it combined with what appears to me to be a natural gift for knowing how you come across on film.

I remember reading somewhere that you didn’t want to be stereotyped. So besides being fun to do, I think that with the right material and the right director you would be hysterically funny.
Better yet, you could write your own.

    John

I too think she is a fantastic human being, particularly after reading her comments about John Galliano.
Part III tomorrow, thats great! Won’t mind a million parts.
For me too it all started with “The Dreamers”, I still think like few others that “Cracks” was her best performance to date, not that she wasn’t less awesome in others.
Thank you Eva Green for being such a brilliant actress.
    Mariana, you are a Gem!

This interview showed me that I’m not the only one who prefers to stay at home reading a book in the world. Good!

“relax by the fire with a glass of wine and a good book… boring, huh?” – Boring, not really, it’s my dream, the most happy person ont the world, who can relax like this and with you.

About Dark Shadows – the most believable and the most beautiful witch I have ever seen, you are the best.

Eva Green is not only strikingly beautiful, but an amazing actress. But there are quite a few amazing actresses out there, so what makes, Eva differ?

She can play women who are strong but sensitive, who lead but can also follow, women who can save your life before you have a chance to save theirs.

It is this ability of Eva to showcase depth in the characters she portrays, that has me convinced she should star as Arabella Nars, in THE CLOSING.

All the best, Eva. You rock!

    Stella K.

Eva, you’re my favourite. I honestly lose all function when I see you act and chat! Please never come to my office and act there, or in front of my friends, it would be the end of me. Completely bowled over by you… As uncool as that is I can’t help it! Lots more from you on the big screen please, you’re lovely! X
