Recreational Facilities
The three parks in Wisner cover 13 acres and have a swimming pool, tennis courts, picnic tables, grills, rest rooms,
basketball courts, three ball diamonds, horseshoe pit, horse arena, two sand volleyball courts, and a camping area with
electrical hookups. Two unsupervised playgrounds have standard playground equipment.
Wisner also offers an 8-lane bowling alley, theatre, shopping and museums.
Outdoor recreation in the Wisner area includes boating and canoeing on the Elkhorn River, hunting, fishing, golf, skating,
tennis and more!
Annual Events
- St. Patrick's Day Celebration - held annually around March 17 featuring
a parade and Irish fun run.
- Farm and Home Show - featuring a business
exposition.
- Livestock Day & Rodeo - held annually in July, includes activities
such as animal judging, tractor pull & baseball.
- Summer Recreation Programs - including baseball, softball, swimming,
golf and sand volleyball.
- Thunder by the River - National tractor pull held annually in August.

Heritage Museum - the museum provides a look into the area's history
through continually updated displays. For more information call the museum

- Elkhorn Valley Arts Unlimited - this group hosts numerous performing artists and has sponsored many
art shows, theatres, and more.
