ICT is embedded into all curriculum areas within the Infant School, from shape and measurement in maths to digital story writing and animation in English; from visiting virtual museums in Art to topical research in science and humanities.

Tanglin embraces new technology wherever it supports our mission. Staff are confident users of technology and are encouraged to be innovative. Students use technology to inquire, communicate and safely take risks. When they move on from Tanglin, they are confident users of current technology in a range of contexts, understanding the benefits, limitations and risks associated with its use.

All classrooms in the Infant School have an interactive whiteboard and access to a wired and wireless network to support the use of iPads, iPods and PCs. Children also have access to a wide range of devices to enhance the curriculum, from handheld video cameras and sound recorders to Lego robotics, digital microscopes and data logging devices.

Our classroom computers and computer suites are fitted out with keyboards specifically for little fingers and learning effective keyboard skills from Nursery to Year 2 is a priority for all Infant School teachers. iPads as a tool for learning have slowly been integrated into the Infant School curriculum and we are seeing some wonderful benefits.
