Pakri wind farm

The Pakri wind farm was completed in 2004. The first wind turbine was connected with the power grid on the 15th of December in 2004. Full capacity was achieved in March 2005.

There are in total eight Nordex N-90 type wind turbines, each with a capacity of 2.3 MW, in the Pakri wind farm. Full capacity of the wind farm is 18.4 MW.

The electric turbines are produced and supplied by a well-known German producer Nordex Energy GmbH. The height of the mast of the wind turbine is 80 m, rotor diameter 90 m. Weight of the wind turbine is 275 tons. The expected life-span of the wind turbines of the Pakri wind farm is 20 years.

Total investment of the Pakri wind farm is EUR 22.4 million.

The Pakri wind farm is located in Paldiski, at the tip of the Pakri Peninsula, partly in the old Soviet army coast guard territory. The wind farm comprises an area of 46 hectares.
