I was born and raised in Louisville, KY. I graduated from Sacred Heart Academy. My career got an early start when I began interning at WDRB-TV at the ripe age of 16. I became involved in the school's TV & Video program, one of the best high school facilities in the state!
Before I turned 18, I was the nightly deejay on Louisville's WZKF (98.9 KISS FM) five days a week, as well as a teen reporter for the respected WAVE-TV and a regular appearance on the Terry Meiners Show (840 WHAS AM).
I am excited about furthering my career at WKYT as the morning show live reporter. When I am not working on a story, my favorite thing to do is sleep! I never have time for that! I'm too busy doing all of life's necessities like shopping, hanging out with my friends, and listening to music. U2, *NSYNC, and Craig David are among my favorites.
Broadcasting is in my blood. Rich Gimmel is my dad and a respected news veteran, with experience covering the region. My mom, Angie, displayed her talent in radio before moving on to Public Relations. I also have an older brother, Richie, and a beloved golden retriever.
