Atapattu picked as SL coach
Fri, 25 Apr 2014 4:05 PMFormer captain Marvan Atapattu was named as Sri Lanka's interim coach on Friday.
The 43-year-old was appointed for the tour of Irleand and England next month and the for the home series against South Africa in July.
Former Test spinner, Ruwan Kalpage, was appointed as Atapattu's asssistant, the board said.
The Sri Lanka coaching job became vacant after coach Paul Farbrace resigned earlier this week after being offered the England assistant coach's position.
