‘Loons’ central defender Stuart Malcolm despite speculation that he might be moving on to pastures new has signed a one year extension to his current contract and will again feature at the heart of the Forfar defence next term.

The Station Park faithful will also be delighted with the news that Danny Denholm is to return to the club.

The Edinburgh based winger had a very successful first season in the senior ranks with Dick Campbell’s side in 2012/13 after making the step up from East of Scotland League football with Stirling University, winning the Player’s Player of the Year trophy.

He was then offered a one year full-time deal with Livingston in May of last year with Forfar receiving a small compensatory fee, but twelve months on he will return to his senior footballing ‘roots’ despite competition for his signature from at least two other league one outfits.
