Find information on how you can file a case, settle an estate, have your criminal record sealed, represent yourself, and more. Start by clicking on the type of case you are inquiring about on the left hand side of this page, or use the Public menu to find a topic that is applicable to you.
Helpful Tips!
Arrive well before the scheduled time of your trial, hearing, or meeting to clear security screening at the Moultrie Courthouse entrance. You must remove all metal objects from your pockets and outer garments during security screening so that they can be X-rayed.
Prohibited Items
Items prohibited from courthouses include: any item that could be used as a weapon, firearms, knives, dangerous liquids, illegal controlled substances, and illegal drug paraphernalia. Cameras and recording devices are allowed only if authorized. Any person who attempts to bring illegal items into a courthouse is subject to arrest and prosecution. Conviction carries penalties of fines, imprisonment, or both.
Volunteer
D.C. Courts is always looking for a few good volunteers to serve in our Court Greeters Program. The program is designed to welcome court visitors as they enter the building and to assist them in getting to their destination. Training for volunteers is provided.
