The Chinese smartphone is a huge cake that every manufacturer try to get a small piece out of that huge cake. However, the Chinese smartphone market isn’t an easy market as not every company there will gain success. The same goes to the local manufacturers like Oppo and Vivo as they are trying to gain something from the market too. The Vivo xShot will challenge the Oppo Find 7 and Oppo Find 7A in the Chinese as we are going to have a look at the specs of these devices.

The first round fight is about the display. Vivo xShot has a 5.2-inch display, which is 0.3-inch smaller than the displays of Find 7 and Find 7A. Vivo xShot is available in two versions – Flagship and Elite, but the displays of both devices are having the same resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. This isn’t the same for the Oppo Find 7 and Oppo Find 7A. The Oppo Find 7 is the premium version that features a 5.5-inch display with 2K resolution and the Oppo Find 7A has a display resolution that on par with the Vivo xShot. All three devices have the same display type of IPS each.

The Vivo xShot and Oppo Find 7 are powered by the Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor that clocked at 2.5GHz. The Oppo Find 7A is also powered by the Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor, but the clock speed is slightly lower. The MSM8974AC is the processor model that clocked at 2.5GHz clock speed and the MSM8974AB is the processor model with 2.3GHz clock speed. All three devices feature the same Adreno 330 GPU.

The third round fight is about the storage and RAM. Vivo xShot flagship version and the Oppo Find 7A offer the combination of 2GB RAM + 16GB storage while the Oppo Find 7 and Vivo xShot Elite offer 3GB RAM + 32GB storage. All four devices offer MicroSD expansion up to 128GB at maximum.

For the camera aspect, Vivo boasts that its xShot is the best in the industry. The 13-megapixel main camera of Vivo xShot has a combination of bright f/1.8 aperture and optical image stabilization feature. Furthermore, there is a dual tone LED flash on the back, which is similar to the iPhone 5S and HTC One M8. The front-facing camera of Vivo xShot is an 8-megapixel shooter. Surprisingly, the front-facing camera has LED flash too. I’m sure that is a close-to perfect smartphone for selfie lovers. The cameras of Oppo Find 7 and Oppo Find 7A are the same 13-megapixel shooter. Oppo has integrated a camera feature to the Find 7 and Find 7A with the capability to shoot up to 55-megapixel image quality. I’m sure that all three devices from China are just the beasts in the smartphone, if you consider camera is the priority.

Vivo xShot and the Oppo Find 7 are among the first few smartphones from Chinese manufacturer that offer 4G LTE connection. In China, all three smartphones are compatible with TD-LTE and FDD-LTE network modes. If you are living outside China, please ensure the network compatibility before purchase any of these devices.

The Vivo xShot features a 7.99mm body while the Oppo Find 7s have a 9.2mm body, each. The Oppo Find 7 and Find 7A are also heavier than the Vivo xShot. Oppo Find 7 offers the largest capacity battery and the Vivo xShot squeezed between both Oppo siblings.

After all, the 2K display of the Oppo Find 7 “sounds” better than the FHD display. However, the battery consumption of 2K display is also greater than the FHD display. It depends on personal requirements if these three devices are on the line.
