Chillers
Cash incentives are available for installing high efficiency electric chillers in existing buildings. By participating in the Delmarva Power C&I; Energy Savings Program and upgrading to more energy efficient central chiller-based cooling systems, you can reduce the cost of the equipment now and for years to come by reducing your operating and maintenance costs.
- Single, (1,000 tons or less) chiller incentives range from $10 to $24 per ton for equipment that meets minimum program standards, based on efficiency and chiller type. Additional cash incentives are available when equipment performance exceeds the established program baseline (minimum standard). These performance incentives can be from $2 to $8 per ton per increment of improvement in energy efficiency. A Program team member can provide a list of eligible chillers.
- Chillers over 1,000 tons may be eligible for Alternative Chiller incentives. Alternative Chiller incentives will be based on an analysis of the proposed measure(s) and savings, as estimated by the customer/contractor and verified by Delmarva Power, and incentive payments will not exceed 50% of project’s total installed cost.
