Language learning has substantially changed and evolved over the last 30 years.

Gone are the days when you would sit at your desk in school memorizing all the various foreign language masculine and feminine nouns, verbs and their respective verb tenses.

About Me , I only wish this technology had been available when I was in high school during the late 1970s. I minored in French in college, but having lived and worked in India for one year and 2 years in Bangladesh, I have completely forgotten my French. However I can now speak, read and write Hindi and I can also speak Bengali.

Why am I telling you this? It is not to impress you with my foreign language skills- hardly. I’m telling you this because anyone can learn a foreign language and contrary to what you may have heard regarding language study-it doesn’t take rocket science-just time and commitment on your part.

Language studies does require the necessary time commitment, self-discipline , self-motivation , and you must have a goal plan in order to make it happen. You must develop and apply sound time management tips , daily or weekly, in keeping you focused. Whether you spend 15 minutes a day or an hour a week is unimportant so long as you stick with a schedule and hold yourself accountable.

I personally own the Pimsleur language program Hindi , and can attest that the program has helped me in my personal language studies tremendously. I own the audio cassette version with the Hindi language tutor work book-however they offer both CD and audio cassette if you have a preference.
