Epilogue: life skills in the classroom

I love Rebecca Traister’s column today on why it makes sense to bring back home economics courses and aim it at boys and girls, giving both the tools to contribute to the household equally or to care for themselves in case they never partner or have children. It inspires our question of the day: What do you wish someone had required you to study in school? I know how to use tools, but I would love to have had a class in basic to moderately difficult household repairs so I could do things like regrout my own bathtub.
